St. Patricks Day in the Park

Pondering the great truths of dirt

Hmmm... This dirt has a unique taste.
Can't decide exactly what it is about it...
Sure is good, though! The next day while we were at Cradle Roll we were singing a song about playing in the sand. Lucas plays in the sand with so much gusto that I thought that I'd just keep him on my lap for the song. But his teacher, Opal, asked if Lucas wanted to play in the sand. So against my better judgement, I took him up to play in the sand. Now the other kids will play in the sand gingerly with maybe one hand. Not my boy! Both hands immediately dug into the sand quickly followed by a face plant. He was bound and determined to eat that sand just as he had the dirt the day before. I just smiled to myself as Opal quickly thrust her hand into the sand box thwarting Lucas' efforts. Boys are so full of fun and energy!

Barking dog and growling boy

It was a gorgeous Thursday afternoon. The sun was beckoning us to come out and bask in its warming rays. Bundling Lucas into his jog stroller we ventured out. Alas, after the wonderful walk we weren't ready to go back in the dreary dull indoors just yet. Spying our neighbor Elizabeth, out side working in her grow beds, we walked over for a visit and an opportunity to play in the dirt. As Elizabeth and I visited, Lucas tasted dirt, grass, and lady bugs (ugh!).
Jasper was entertaining himself running back and forth barking vehemently at the cat on the other side of the fence. When Lucas is afraid, he sometimes will act out aggressively. He wasn't quite sure what to think of this. He would jump at the barking. Then he would frown and growl at Jasper. It was the cutest thing to see. Somebody so small trying to intimidate a big German Shepherd dog.

Cradle Roll

I love to go to Cradle Roll every Sabbath morning. Its so much fun to sing songs and listen to stories and put felts on the board!
Mommy says that I should tell you that I started taking a few steps on the 1st of March. I also try to meow like the kitty, tweet like the birdie, and bark like the doggy.
I'm growing up so fast. I'll be 10 months old next week.

I can smell a rose

"Sniff, Sniff, I can smell a rose. Sniff, Sniff, with my
little nose. Jesus made the rose and Jesus made my
nose. I can sniff, sniff, sniff."
I won't leave my hats on anymore. I just pull them right off!

"When the Sun is shining bright bright bright"
