Abrianna's First Sabbath

This is Abrianna's first Sabbath. I just finished giving her, her first spit bath. She's such a good calm little girl.

This outfit is from Aunt Genni. Notice how it says "Best Friend" on it.

What a difference a week can make! A week ago I'd reconciled myself to being pregnant for at least another week. Surprise! That night Abrianna started her homecoming. Now she's almost a week old. I feel so blessed to have two beautiful healthy wonderful gifts from God.!

Abrianna Lynn Drake was born on April 20 at 4:50 AM. She was in a hurry to arrive as labor was under 6 hours long. Pushing took less than 20 minutes!
She is 7 lbs. 6 oz. and is 19 1/2 inches long. She the exact same size as Lucas was. Notice her beautiful red locks!

Arrgggh! Pushed that baby out in less than 20 minutes

Here she is in less than 6 hours of labor. My midwife felt she was a bit early due to being caked in vernix and having smooth bottomed feet.

Ready to burst

Bummer! I was just figuring out my due date based on the possible date of conception. By those dates I'm not due until April 27-30th. Not all pregnancies last the whole 266 days. I guess I shouldn't expect anything to happen for at least another week. I'll try to post some pictures of Lucas later on. That's a brighter topic.

39 week update

Hello All,
I went in for my 39 week check up today. I'm 4 cm dilated and 50% effaced. Baby is at station -1 and my mucus plug is totally gone. I've had some strong contractions today but they seem to be diminishing. I don't think she's coming today. Bummer :-(
