Lessons in politeness
I try to teach my boy the social graces of politeness. This morning he accidentally pocked me in the eye. I explained to him that its polite to say "I'm sorry" when you hurt somebody like that. Well, he said, "I'm sorry." So I said, " I forgive you." To which he parroted, "I forgive you." "No, that's what mommy says after you say you're sorry." "I forgive me" was the cherubic response.

Creativity
The First 7 Years has inspired me to try to cultivate creativity in my son. We made play dough last week. This has kept him entertained for hours.
He's learned to make "snakes." Today he told me that he was making sand dunes and mountains.
This creation was his own ingenuity. I'm not sure what it's supposed to be... But it looks really cool

What mom??
Abrianna took a nap tightly swaddled in a blanket on my bed. Lucas came running out to tell me "sis'er awake! You go get her mom!". She was awake, happily entertaining herself on the bed eating a roll of toilet paper she'd found.
She looked at me with the t.p. protruding from her mouth as if to say, "what mom?"
Lucas wanted in on the picture action too. Into his mouth went a car, and he scooted in front of the camera.
He's certainly not camera shy!

Take my picture momma...
Lucas called from the bathroom, "Take my pitchure, momma!" Here he is posing. He wants to be a big boy and then tells me he is my little baby.
He's very precious. Developmental stages are interesting right now too.
He keeps choosing different things. Today it was the bath tub toys. Then he assigns which one is mommy, daddy, Lucas, and Abrianna.
When I read to him the Bernstein Bears, "Wild Wild Honey." He identifies each of us as, papa bear, mama bear, brother bear, and sister bear.
His imagination is growing too. He is a lion, or bear, or Lightening McQueen, or Doc Hudson.

Julianna
Good Morning,
I spoke with Stacie briefly. Julianna has a tube now. She was given surfactant for lung maturation. An ex-ray revealed very immature lungs. Please pray for her. She is doing well. Until her breathing is better she won't be allowed to attempt breastfeeding.
