Stow away

Peek A Boo! I see You!

Hi MOM!

Lessons in politeness

I try to teach my boy the social graces of politeness. This morning he accidentally pocked me in the eye. I explained to him that its polite to say "I'm sorry" when you hurt somebody like that. Well, he said, "I'm sorry." So I said, " I forgive you." To which he parroted, "I forgive you." "No, that's what mommy says after you say you're sorry." "I forgive me" was the cherubic response.

Awesome Abrianna!

I'm shocked! My determined little girl crawled up onto the trampoline by herself!! I think she's trying to keep up with big brother. But she's only 6 months old. I think Lucas was 9 months old before he tried that. She also stood up while hanging onto the edge. WOW!

Sabbath afternoon nap

Lucas needed a nap. Of course, he didn't want one. So I told him to lay on the couch and rest. At first he wanted to be wrapped in momma's coat "like a little baby." Then he unwrapped himself, climbed under the cushion and went to sleep. What a blanket!

A fall day

Cool Dudette

Ready and raring to go! I love this jean jacket and the sunglasses. Only one opportunity for a picture. She decided that the glasses were not cool and pulled them off if we tried to put them back on.

Tryin' to stand

My baby is changing so quickly. She's now interested in pulling herself up. Not really good at it yet.. But she gets an A + for effort.

Creativity

The First 7 Years has inspired me to try to cultivate creativity in my son. We made play dough last week. This has kept him entertained for hours.
He's learned to make "snakes." Today he told me that he was making sand dunes and mountains.
This creation was his own ingenuity. I'm not sure what it's supposed to be... But it looks really cool

What mom??

Abrianna took a nap tightly swaddled in a blanket on my bed. Lucas came running out to tell me "sis'er awake! You go get her mom!". She was awake, happily entertaining herself on the bed eating a roll of toilet paper she'd found.
She looked at me with the t.p. protruding from her mouth as if to say, "what mom?"

Lucas wanted in on the picture action too. Into his mouth went a car, and he scooted in front of the camera.
He's certainly not camera shy!

YUMMY PAPER!!

Little Princess

I love this soft yellow princess dress from Auntie Heidi.

It's so much fun to dress my little live dolly!

Fruit puffs dropped when she was in her exersaucer was the motivation. She scooted and crawled all the way under it and happily ate them.

Gettin' mobile

Here she is scootin' back out. She went all the way BY HERSELF!!

Hurrah! She made it!!

Take my picture momma...

Lucas called from the bathroom, "Take my pitchure, momma!" Here he is posing. He wants to be a big boy and then tells me he is my little baby.
He's very precious. Developmental stages are interesting right now too.
He keeps choosing different things. Today it was the bath tub toys. Then he assigns which one is mommy, daddy, Lucas, and Abrianna.
When I read to him the Bernstein Bears, "Wild Wild Honey." He identifies each of us as, papa bear, mama bear, brother bear, and sister bear.
His imagination is growing too. He is a lion, or bear, or Lightening McQueen, or Doc Hudson.

Sitting up

Abrianna's newest accomplishment is sitting up for several minutes. She even pushed herself almost all the way into sitting yesterday. Look at that happy smile.

Bath time frolic

Lucas loves climbing in the tub with Abrianna. He thinks that he needs to copy her and be the baby. Abrianna refuses to stay on her back in the tub. Once I take my hands off, she immediately rolls to her tummy and scoots around, splashing and drinking the water. Occasionally, choking on it too.

Decluttering

I'm finally getting the de-cluttering of the kids room done!
Lucas was having fun with the toys and outgrown baby things.
He insisted on trying to wear a much too small Winne the Pooh hat.

Sabbath afternoon with Daddy

Here's Daddy's little girl. I really like this

picture. The red cheek is a hold over from nap

time.

Julianna

Good Morning,

I spoke with Stacie briefly. Julianna has a tube now. She was given surfactant for lung maturation. An ex-ray revealed very immature lungs. Please pray for her. She is doing well. Until her breathing is better she won't be allowed to attempt breastfeeding.
